About Lei

Lei is a friendly and compassionate therapist with a deep commitment to supporting individuals to live full and meaningful lives. Lei has practiced in both private and not-for-profit sectors providing psychological treatment of both children and adults. Furthermore, she also provides evidence-based psychological interventions to assist individuals who may be experiencing:

  • Severe stress
  • Persistent anxious thoughts and worries
  • Depressed mood
  • Low self-esteem
  • Eating disorders
  • Anger problems
My aim is always to create an equal partnership in therapy that is built on respect, compassion and trust, and focused on achieving therapeutic goals. I believe that empowering individuals to recognise their own value and strengths helps clear the path for positive change.

Lei is also experienced in providing assessment of behavioural, emotional and cognitive functioning of children and adults with an intellectual disability, traumatic brain and spinal-cord injuries. Most noteworthy, she also has a particular interest in the assessment of dementia and other age-related cognitive impairments.


Furthermore, Lei has facilitated psychoeducational group programs for families and loved ones of individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder, traumatic brain or spinal-cord injury, and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Lei works with her clients to provide an individualised treatment plan and draws from a range of therapeutic approaches including;

  • Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
  • Mindfulness-based CBT
  • Acceptance and commitment therapy
  • Dialectical-behaviour therapy


She is extremely dedicated to supporting the families and loved ones of her clients and ensuring they are supported throughout the process.

Lei holds a Master of Psychology (Clinical). She is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and an Associate Member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association.
